German development financier DEG has invested $8 million in Africa Mobile Networks (AMN) to support and fund a tower roll-out plan in rural areas of sub-Saharan Africa.

Founded in 2013, AMN is a UK-registered company that builds, owns and operates mobile network base stations throughout rural Africa.
