Nigerian education company Semicolon Africa has closed a $1.2 million seed funding round. The round, which was oversubscribed, had participation from angels and VCs like Launch Africa Ventures and Consonance Investment Managers.

Semicolon, which trains software engineers and tech entrepreneurs, indicated that the seed funding will go towards increasing its talent database, improving infrastructure, and expanding to more cities across Africa.
