Actis reaches $2.9bn first close for energy fund
Private equity investor Actis has held a first close of the Actis Energy 5 LP fund, with $2.9 billion in capital commitments from more than 20 institutional investors, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The fund is dedicated to renewable-energy investments in emerging markets.
Actis is targeting a final close of $4 billion for the fund.
