Africa Food Security Fund anticipates $100m final close by December
The Africa Food Security (AFS) Fund is expecting a final close in December 2020 at a target of $100 million, according to a recent statement by the fund’s manager Zebu Investment Partners.
The AFS Fund achieved a first close at $84 million in 2018.
Last week, the fund announced an investment in South African agtech company IQ Logistica, owner and developer of a cloud-based platform used to collect, collate, and aggregate data for the purposes of tracing agricultural outputs and related key data as these progress through the value chain. In March, the fund also closed an investment in Royal Oven Limited, a retail bakery chain in Tanzania.
