Africa Trust Group and Samata Capital form new fund manager

Africa Trust Group and Samata Capital have partnered to form ATG Samata, a fund management company dedicated to making private sector investments in high-growth potential businesses in emerging markets that advance opportunities for women and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The united entity will continue to focus on early-stage, scalable companies in high-growth industry segments that have a significant impact on women within the value chain. The geographic footprint will expand to target key markets in East, West, and Southern Africa, including Kenya, Nigeria, and Zambia. The firm will also utilise a blended-venture approach to offer debt, revenue share, and equity products that best match a company’s business model and local context.
