African Infrastructure Investment Managers plans additional investment into Bboxx

African Infrastructure Investment Managers (AIIM), a member of Old Mutual Alternative Investments, plans to make an additional investment into Bboxx, according to AIIM chief investment officer Romain Py in an interview with The Africa Report.

Bboxx is a next-generation utility platform developing solutions to provide affordable, clean energy to off-grid communities in emerging markets.

In 2019, AIIM, though its AIIF3 fund, invested $31 million for a minority stake in Bboxx’s operations in Rwanda, Kenya and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
