Agile Capital, alongside RMB Corvest and other shareholders, have exited their investment in Feedem to the Empact Group.
Feedem is one of the largest independently-owned service providers within the South African catering industry, with more than 5,000 employees managing over 1,000 sites. Agile invested in 2017.
“Feedem has a national footprint and offers services across numerous sectors,” notes Liz Kolobe, partner at Agile Capital. “Through careful strategic planning and focus on disciplined growth and customer service, the management team has driven exceptional growth.”
The business initially served industrial, corporate and educational clients, as well as retirement living schemes. It expanded through mergers and acquisitions, extending its presence in education and adding hygiene and pest control services, outsourced staffing options and various ad hoc services.
Bazil Lauryssen, Feedem Group CEO, says: “We are excited to witness the new phase of growth for Feedem as part of a larger group and how new growth opportunities can be leveraged to continue to maximise the value of the strong foundation created by the current management team and outgoing shareholders.”
