Sahara Impact Ventures, an Accra-based fund manager, has announced an investment in agtech company Agriarche.
Founded by Deina Mayaki, Agriarche addresses post-harvest challenges that constrain income and sustainability for smallholder farmers. Its core product is Kasuwa, a digital platform that links farmers, aggregators and industrial processors, while providing real-time market data, weather forecasts and demand analytics.
The platform supports over 12,000 farmers and 3,050 aggregators in northern Nigeria and has facilitated more than 50,000 tonnes of agricultural trade worth more than $12 million.
Alongside its domestic focus, Agriarche is expanding exports. After pilot shipments of commodities such as honey beans and hibiscus to Canada and Brazil, the company increased international trade in 2025. Through its Mitera consumer brand, it is also targeting Nigeria’s processed food market by partnering with local operators to make use of underutilised mills and processing plants.
