Alitheia IDF invests in South African textile company
Alitheia IDF has announced a $5 million investment in South African textile company Ivili Group.
Ivili Group consists of two main entities: Ivili Loboya and Ivilitex. Ivili Loboya specialises in animal fibre processing, while Ivilitex is a garment manufacturing enterprise that supplies South African retailers with denim products.
Ivili Group, led by Lilitha Mahlati and founded by South African entrepreneur, the late Dr Vuyokazi Mahlati, aims to become the leading textiles group in Africa, all while supporting local textile producers and increasing locally produced apparel for the local retail industry from 44% to 65% by 2030.
Through the investment, Alitheia IDF says it aims to close the gap between locally made and imported apparel in South Africa.
