Amethis has announced the promotion of Frank-Astère Ndiyo Butoyi to the position of partner at Amethis.
“Since joining Amethis in 2015, Butoyi has been pivotal in driving our strategic initiatives in East Africa. His emphasis on sustainability, responsible investment, and financial performance has played a key role in shaping the region’s investment landscape. Based in Nairobi since 2018, Butoyi has led and contributed to several important investments, including transactions with Naivas in Kenya and Merec in Mozambique as well as exits in the region. His hard work has bolstered our presence in East Africa, built a strong local network for future deals thus creating lasting value for our partners and stakeholders,” the firm said in a statement.
Before joining Amethis, Butoyi accumulated extensive experience with KPMG’s transaction services department in Paris, where he specialised in due diligence and valuation missions across the African continent. His diverse background also includes two years at Société Générale in New York, following the start of his career with HSBC and Natixis Finance in Paris. He holds a degree in global markets and investment banking from Dauphine University in Paris.
