Amethis hires new partner
Private equity firm Amethis has recruited Nicolas Manardo as a partner in order to launch a new strategy dedicated to French and European SMEs seeking to expand on the African continent.
Manardo joins Amethis with a long experience in private equity in Europe. Prior to joining Amethis, he spent three years as managing director in the small cap team of LBO France where he completed several majority and minority transactions.
Between 2009 and 2017, Manardo worked at Bpifrance. Prior to that, he spent several years in M&A at Lazard and Société Générale CIB in France and the USA, where he advised financial sponsors on their LBO transactions. He also worked for the Saint Gobain group in various positions as general manager of building materials distribution subsidiaries in France, Mexico and Italy.
Manardo has completed 15 transactions since 2009. He is a graduate of ESCP Europe and is certified in Lean – Six Sigma from Ecole Centrale Paris. He speaks French, English and Italian.
Manardo will be in charge of developing a new investment vehicle focused on supporting French and European SMEs expanding to Africa, where an important part of their future growth is located, by making them benefit from synergies with Amethis’ African teams and portfolio.
