Amethis has announced the exit from its investment in Globex, a logistics and transport platform in Morocco.
The transaction concludes a four-year partnership between Amethis, Globex founder and chief executive officer Omar El Kadiri, and the company’s management team.
Founded in 1998, Globex began as an express delivery specialist operating under a FedEx licence. The company has since expanded into an integrated logistics provider, offering express delivery, freight forwarding, customs, transit, chartering, warehousing and road transport services.
Amethis invested in Globex in 2022 alongside its founder, Omar El Kadiri, with the ambition of building Morocco’s leading provider of end-to-end logistics solutions. During the partnership, Globex broadened its industrial customer base, expanded its logistics infrastructure and strengthened its operational capabilities. A key milestone was the acquisition of Logic Transport in 2024, which added B2B domestic and international road transport to the group’s service offering, enabling Globex to cover a broader segment of the logistics value chain.
“Our investment in Globex perfectly illustrates Amethis’ approach of partnering with ambitious entrepreneurs to build regional champions. Together with Omar El Kadiri and his team, we implemented a value creation strategy combining organic growth, strategic M&A, operational excellence, organisational strengthening and ESG transformation. In less than four years, we have successfully built a national leader in integrated logistics. This successful exit reflects the quality of the management team, the strength of the business model and the disciplined execution of a shared long-term vision. We would like to thank Omar and the entire Globex team for their trust, commitment and exceptional execution throughout our partnership, and we wish them every success in the next chapter of the company’s development,” commented Wilfried Poyet, senior partner at Amethis.
“Our partnership with Amethis has been instrumental in Globex’s transformation over the past four years. Beyond providing growth capital, the Amethis team has been a true strategic partner, supporting us in executing our growth plan, completing the acquisition and integration of Logic Transport, strengthening our organisation and advancing our sustainability agenda. Together, we have built a stronger, more resilient company that is well positioned for its next phase of development. We are grateful for Amethis’ commitment and the trust that has characterised our partnership throughout this journey,” said Omar El Kadiri, founder and CEO of Globex.
