AVCA Conference: Private capital in Africa at a crossroads
RESILIENCE | RESURGENCE | RESULTS
25 – 29 April 2022 | DAKAR, SENEGAL
The AVCA 2022 Annual Conference will be our first in-person industry gathering since 2019. And this year, we’re delving deeper and having an open, honest conversation about the future of private equity and venture capital in Africa.
– Network with over 500 delegates from more than 50 countries around the world
– Interact with over 195 institutional investors to gain valuable insights on the industry trends
– Discuss the most pertinent issue impacting the industry with over 85 industry expert speakers.
The 18th Annual AVCA Conference has two objectives:
– Taking stock of an industry navigating change (facing the hard facts)
– Setting out a plan of action to usher in the next wave of private investment in Africa (transformation and recovery)
While the industry has witnessed significant success stories across fundraising and deal-making, there are still challenges such as foreign exchange volatility, political instability, difficult regulatory environments, limited exit options, and the increasing trend of consolidation.
The leading private investment conference in Africa
At the AVCA 2022 Annual Conference, our speakers will share balanced views on the current state of Africa’s private equity and venture capital industry, celebrating the accomplishments and setting out a plan of action to tackle the challenges and turn the tide.
2022 will be the first year that the AVCA offers a hybrid conference. Virtual delegates will enjoy the full conference experience through our state-of-the-art virtual platform.
