The African Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (AVCA) will host its inaugural AVCA Sustainable Investing in Africa Summit on Wednesday, 19th October 2022, in London, UK. The summit will bring together Africa’s foremost impact investors, leading organisations, and thought leaders to provide insight on how sustainable investing can act as a catalyst for growth and development in Africa.
World-class investors, development agencies, foundations, business leaders, and research organisations will convene to analyse and strengthen ESG standards and sustainable investment practices in the market – deepening precision in a maturing African private capital industry.
Throughout the past 20 years, AVCA has advocated for new metrics, monitoring and reporting on the transformative impact of private equity and venture capital across the continent. The industry association’s mission and member base contribute to achieving Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
Organised and hosted by AVCA, the new global gathering will observe methodologies, benchmarks and impact programmes of Africa-focused fund managers and institutional investors as the ecosystem spurs superior performance.
