Breyer Capital in Nigerian fintech deal
Nigerian fintech company Chaka has closed a $1.5 million pre-seed funding round led by Breyer Capital, a global venture firm focused on catalysing growth in high-impact companies like Spotify, Facebook, and now, Chaka. Other participants in the round are 4DX Ventures, Golden Palm Investments, Future Africa, Seedstars, and Musha Ventures.
Chaka provides trading solutions that are easy to use and easy to integrate, enabling digital borderless investing for African businesses and individuals through partnerships with asset managers, financial technology firms, and regulators.
Through the investment, Chaka will focus on building a roster of partners and accelerate its expansion to other markets within West Africa. The company will also hire top talent and integrate more advanced functionalities into its investment and wealth management solutions.
