Côte d'Ivoire: BII increases equity stake in Valency International

British International Investment (BII), the UK’s development finance institution and impact investor, has made an additional $15 million equity investment in Valency International, raising its total investment to $30 million.
The new capital will support Valency’s funding requirements for its new 45,000 tonne cashew processing facility – one of the largest in the world, as well as the development of a new bioproducts plant to transform waste cashew shells to biochar and biofuels.
The cashew processing facility, located in Attingue, Côte d’Ivoire.
