Egypt Ventures backs e-commerce platform
DressCode, a Cairo-based fashion and lifestyle e-commerce startup, has secured a $250,000 investment from Egypt Ventures.
Launched in 2019, the startup has fulfilled 30,000 orders and amassed a dedicated following of customers, and an increase in its SKUs with a leap from 300 to 6,000 within a year. On top of being an aggregator of various brands, DressCode also has its own product line.
Ahmed Gomaa, chairman and CEO of Egypt Ventures, said, “DressCode has the potential to make an impact on the Egyptian market. Through combining a scalable, agile business model and partnering with local workshops all over Egypt.”
The funds will be used to expand beyond fashion and cosmetics, and broaden DressCode’s home décor offerings.
