EIB considering $55m investment in African fund

The European Investment Bank (EIB), the lending arm of the European Union, is considering a $55 million investment in the Evolution III fund, managed by Inspired Evolution Investment Management.

The fund will provide equity to predominantly greenfield infrastructure investments in the sectors of clean energy generation, energy access, as well as resource efficiency in Africa.

The fund has a target size of $400 million.
