Enko Capital, a pan-African asset management firm, has appointed Alix Pinel as a partner in its private equity division.
Pinel has joined from BNP Paribas where she was the head of group strategy. She brings 17 years of private equity and corporate development experience, including a decade in emerging markets.
Prior to BNP, from 2014-2016, Pinel was a senior investment officer for the Enko Africa Private Equity Fund I where she sat in Enko’s Johannesburg office and sourced investment opportunities across sub-Saharan Africa.
Pinel holds a master’s degree in business management from HEC Paris and a bachelor’s in law from the University of Paris XI.
Pinel will be an integral part of Enko’s private equity team as it looks to raise $150 million for its second private equity fund.
