Fintech specialist e4 acquired by consortium led by Infinite Partners
South African fintech firm e4 has been acquired by a consortium of private equity investors led by Infinite Partners, a private equity fund manager spun out from Ethos Private Equity in 2022. The deal furnishes e4 with the necessary capital to advance to the next phase of expansion.
e4, a technology company specialising in innovative solutions such as software development and business automation, has established itself as a digital transformation leader over the past two decades. The firm has diversified its software development across industries and geographies, making significant inroads in the proptech sector.
Infinite Partners’ interest in e4 is driven by the company’s successful digitisation of key processes in South Africa and the UK. Edward Pitsi, CEO of Infinite Partners, praised e4’s strong growth potential and recent expansion into the UK, which offers a total addressable market more than ten times larger than South Africa’s.
The acquisition includes 27four, a diversified financial services group. The deal aligns with 27four’s strategy of focusing on mid-market businesses with potential for growth and social impact.
