FMO reveals proposed off-grid power investment alongside Energy Access Ventures
Dutch development financier FMO has disclosed a proposed €500,000 investment in ZIZ Energie, a vertically integrated provider of off-grid energy operating in Chad.
FMO will be investing alongside lead-investor Energy Access Ventures, which will contribute €1.5m. The funding objective is to provide the company with the necessary capital to successfully complete the development stage of adding solar and battery storage capacity to its existing mini-grids.
ZIZ sells electrical equipment, performs EPC services and operates mini-grids in five cities in the country.
