Belife Insurance, a pan-African insurance group, has invested in Gozem’s Series B fundraising round. Gozem is a super app in Francophone Africa.
Belife, created following the acquisition of Prudential’s operations in Francophone Africa, operates in Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, and Togo. Through this strategic investment in Gozem, Belife Insurance aims to develop insurance solutions delivered through the super app.
“At Belife Insurance, we believe insurance should be simple, useful, and accessible. This partnership with Gozem enables us to deploy our solutions at scale through a digital platform deeply embedded in the daily lives of thousands of Africans,” said Eddie Ford Brown, CEO and chairman of Belife Insurance.
Since its launch in 2018 as a transport application, Gozem has expanded in Togo, Benin, Gabon, and Cameroon. Today, the super app offers a broad range of services: motorcycle, tricycle, and car transport; food and grocery delivery; digital ticketing; vehicle financing; and digital financial services.
“Belife Insurance’s participation in our Series B is more than just an investment: it is a strategic partnership that enables us to integrate essential solutions perfectly adapted to our users. It strengthens our mission: to make life easier for millions of people through simple, inclusive, and reliable digital services,” said Jean-Martial Moulaud, chief operating officer of Gozem.
