IFC proposes investment in African VC fund

The International Finance Corporation has disclosed a proposed equity investment of up to $10.5 million in 4DX Ventures III, a pan-African venture capital fund with a $100m target.
The fund, managed by 4DX Ventures Management, will mainly make pre-Series A stage investments as well as follow-on investments through later stages. The fund will be sector agnostic with investments in industries such as climate tech, fintech, ecommerce, edtech, logistics, and healthtech.
The fund manager is led by four partners: Peter Orth, Walter Baddoo, Daniel Marlo, and Raaid Ahmad.
