IFC proposes investment in AIIM fund
The IFC has disclosed a proposed equity investment of up to $30 million in the South African-domiciled African Infrastructure Investment Fund 4 (AIIF4), managed by African Infrastructure Investment Managers (AIIM).
The fund will invest in value-add infrastructure assets in Africa, with a focus on sub-Saharan Africa, in three thematic areas: digitisation; energy transition; and mobility and logistics.
The fund was launched with a target size of $500 million.
