IFC proposes investment in Partech Africa fund
IFC is proposing an equity investment of up to €25 million in the Partech Africa Fund II. In addition, IFC has proposed a separate co-investment envelope of up to €15 million on a delegated authority basis, to facilitate IFC’s ability to participate in potential future co-investment opportunities alongside the fund.
Partech Africa Fund II is an early-stage venture capital fund focused on businesses in the technology sector in Africa. The fund will invest in seed to series D rounds, and follow-on rounds in top portfolio companies.
The fund manager of Partech Africa Fund II is France-based Partech Africa GP SAS, which is wholly owned by the France-based Partech Partners SAS. The partners focused on the African fund are Tidjane Deme and Cyril Collon.
The Partech Africa team has local presence in Dakar, Nairobi, Dubai, and Paris.
