IFU exits South African blueberry producer

IFU, the Danish development finance institution, has exited South African blueberry producer United Exports after providing it with a mezzanine loan in 2019.

The loan, which was part of a DKK 224m ($33.5m) package that also included participation from the International Finance Corporation and FMO, was used to add 180 hectares of land and modernise production.

IFU’s mezzanine loan has been repaid in full.
