Injaro Ghana Venture Capital Fund lands new investor
The Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF) has committed GHS25 million ($2.1 million) to the Injaro Ghana Venture Capital Fund (IGVCF), managed by Injaro Investment Advisors.
The IGVCF’s investment strategy focuses on partnering with profitable Ghanaian SMEs with strong growth potential across sectors, including mining support services, food and agribusiness, education, healthcare, inclusive financial services, industrial services, and light manufacturing.
Edward Nana Yaw Koranteng, CEO of MIIF, said the investment is in line with President Nana Akufo Addo’s vision and MIIF’s objective to invest in the development of the entire mining ecosystem or value chain.
Jerry Parkes, managing director of IIAL, commented that the Injaro team is excited to work with MIIF to further establish private equity as an attractive asset class in Ghana while delivering long-term social and financial returns for local investors.
