Private equity firm Inside Capital Partners has announced the final close of its second fund, Inside Equity Fund II, at $72.2 million.
“This milestone marks a significant step forward for Inside Capital Partners. With Fund II reaching more than twice the size of Fund I, our total assets under management now stand at $107 million, reinforcing our ability to support the growth of impactful SMEs across Southeast Africa. We are proud to welcome British International Investment as a new limited partner at final close. Their onboarding further strengthens our investor base and is a strong recognition of our long-term strategy and regional focus,” the firm said in statement.
Inside Equity Fund II achieved first close in July 2024.

Doubling fund size from I to II is solid momentum, but what really stands out is how quickly they moved from first close to final—six months in this market isnt bad at all. British International Investment coming in at final close adds credibility, though I wonder if the SME focus in Southeast Africa limits their exit options compared to larger buyouts. Still, $107m AUM positions them well for that niche.
