Mediterrania Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on growth investments for SMEs and mid-cap companies in Africa, has announced the appointment of Maty Ndiaye as its new managing director for the West Africa region.
Ndiaye brings 18 years of investment experience, including 14 years in private equity across Africa. Her career began at Goldman Sachs in Global Investment Research. She then joined Kingdom Zephyr Africa Management in London, where she was involved in CNIA Saada's IPO in Morocco.
Later, she became a managing director at the Duet Group on the Africa private equity team, where she contributed to the largest private equity transaction into Ethiopia, in the brewery space, as well as several transactions in West Africa. Ndiaye also spent three years in Côte d’Ivoire, supporting FMCG management teams and chairing several company boards.
Prior to joining Mediterrania Capital Partners, Ndiaye was the head of Francophone West Africa at Admaius Capital Partners, where she contributed to building the investment portfolio and led fundraising efforts.
Ndiaye holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from HEC Paris. A native of Senegal, she speaks French, Wolof and English.
