MENA: IFC proposes $40m investment in renewable energy fund
The IFC is proposing an equity investment of up to $40 million in Alcazar Energy Partners II (AEP II), a closed end infrastructure fund with a target size of $500 million.
AEP II will invest in a diversified portfolio of renewable energy projects across selected emerging markets with a primary focus on onshore wind, solar PV and storage in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
Alcazar Energy Partners II GP S.r.l, headquartered in Luxembourg, will act as the investment advisor of AEP II.
