Pembani Remgro fund in line for investment from European LP
The European Investment Bank is proposing a $60 million investment in the Pembani Remgro Infrastructure Fund II, managed by Pembani Remgro Infrastructure Managers.
With a target of $300 million, the Pembani Remgro Infrastructure Fund II is a generalist infrastructure fund focusing on equity investments in essential African infrastructure assets in the mobility and logistics, power and energy transition (specifically renewable energy) and digital sectors.
The fund targets both new and existing assets, and intends to apply for the latter a buy & build strategy that consists of acquiring stakes in mature operational assets and then developing and optimising them further.
