Proparco sells stake in BICICI
French development finance institution Proparco has announced the sale of its stake in Côte d’Ivoire-based bank BICICI.
The members of the consortium made up of the Banque Nationale d’Investissement (BNI), the Caisse Nationale de Prévoyance Sociale (CNPS), the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations de Côte d’Ivoire (CDC-CI) and the Institution de Prévoyance Sociale – Caisse Générale de Retraite des Agents de l’Etat (IPS-CGRAE) have acquired all the shares in the BICICI capital held by the BNP PARIBAS Group (59.79%) and Proparco (7.70%).
”As a shareholder for nearly 15 years, Proparco is pleased to have accompanied BICICI in its development which has led the company to double the size of its balance sheet,” Proparco said in a statement.
