Silverbacks Holdings has secured its tenth profitable exit following the acquisition of Mono, an open banking fintech start-up, by payments unicorn Flutterwave.
The all-share transaction merges two companies within the Silverbacks portfolio. Mono has become foundational for Nigeria’s digital lending ecosystem, powering millions of bank account linkages for customers like Moniepoint and PalmPay.
“Our successful exit from Mono, achieved through consolidation with Flutterwave, validates our early conviction in foundational African fintech,” commented Ibrahim Sagna, Silverbacks Holdings chairman.
