Silverbacks Holdings has revealed that its stake in the Uber-backed global mobility platform Moove is now worth more than $62 million.
Moove recently raised $250 million at a $2.1 billion valuation in a Series C funding round led by Mubadala Investment Company, Woven Capital – Toyota’s growth-stage venture investment arm – and Ion Pacific.
Silverbacks has invested a total of $37 million in Moove over the years.
“Silverbacks Holdings has built a reputation in the market for delivering remarkable returns for their investors. Over the last six years, as we expanded across the globe, they systematically scaled up their investments into our business – round after round,” said Ladi Delano, co-CEO of Moove.
“We are committed to backing dominant, tech-enabled platforms born in Africa that can scale to the rest of the world. We are proud to support a true ‘silverback’ in the global mobility space. They are only getting started,” noted Ibrahim Sagna, executive chairman of Silverbacks Holdings.
