South Africa: E Squared and 4DX in healthtech deal
Zoie Health, a South Africa-based healthtech startup targeting women’s healthcare needs, has secured undisclosed pre-seed extension funding from E Squared Investments and 4DX Ventures. The company aims to use the funds to expand its digital women’s health clinic to other African markets.
The company’s services are currently used by more than 5,000 members and have an 80% retention rate. The holistic health platform offers various services including virtual and at-home consults, medication subscriptions, and health interventions.
It also provides a community for members to support each other, and has enlisted the support of 50 health practitioners, with another 300 in the pipeline. The platform aims to bridge the service gap for working-class women, expectant mothers, and young mothers who often face expensive or inferior quality services in the private and public sectors respectively.
