South Africa’s Public Investment Corporation (PIC) has announced the appointment of Patrick Dlamini as CEO, effective 1 June 2025.
Following a rigorous global search, Dlamini's appointment was confirmed by cabinet on 14 May 2025.
Dlamini is best known for his decade-long tenure as CEO of the Development Bank of Southern Africa, where he spearheaded strategic turnarounds and championed sustainable growth.
David Masondo, chairperson of the PIC board, stated: “Mr Dlamini’s track record of ethical leadership and operational excellence makes him ideally suited to lead the PIC into its next chapter. His experience in development finance and investment management will be critical in addressing key priorities, including the optimisation of the unlisted investment portfolio.”
