South Africa-based Redimension Capital has announced the final close of its Redimension Real Estate Technology and Sustainability Fund I with total commitments exceeding of R250 million (about $14.1 million). The fund targets investment in early-stage proptech companies.
In this second and final close, the fund secured commitments from Hyprop Investments and RDC Property Group, alongside increased contributions from some current investors. The fund’s existing backers include Burstone Group, Growthpoint Properties, Rand Merchant Bank, Liberty Two Degrees and Sphere Holdings, amongst others. Together, these investors control more than 750 commercial real estate buildings and over 12 million square meters of lettable space across multiple sectors. Beyond capital, this ecosystem enables portfolio companies to access commercial partnerships, pilot opportunities, and strategic guidance, accelerating both product-market fit and sustainable scale.
“We are incredibly grateful to our investors for their trust and support,” said Peter Clark and Matthew Marshall, co-founders of Redimension Capital, in a joint statement. “Their commitment has enabled us to position the fund as a leading catalyst for digital transformation in the property sector, and value creation for all stakeholders.”
Since the first close in July 2023, the fund has built a diverse portfolio of companies operating at the intersection of property, technology, and sustainability. These include:
Admyt – a ticketless parking and mobility solution;
RE-Tec Solutions – a tenant lifecycle and property management platform;
The Good People Data Company – an onboarding, workflow, compliance and data-as-a-service platform;
Rode Publications & Media – a holistic real estate market intelligence and analytics platform; and
Roomking – a platform connecting landlords and tenants in the informal rental market.
