1. Admaius Capital Partners exits Parkville Pharmaceuticals
Adenia Partners has acquired a majority stake in Parkville Pharmaceuticals from Admaius Capital Partners, alongside Parkville chairman Dr Sherif Bassiouny and CEO Dr Mahmoud Farrag. The business is an Egyptian healthcare and pharmaceutical company active in the pharmaceutical, cosmeceutical, and nutraceutical sectors.
2. Helios completes sale of interest in Axxela
Helios Investment Partners has completed the sale of its 75% stake in Axxela, the Nigerian natural gas distribution infrastructure company, to BlueCore.
3. Zambia’s Goldenlay changes hands as Phatisa and AgDevCo exit
Phatisa has sold its majority stake in Goldenlay, Zambia’s largest table-egg producer, to Vanden Avenne Group, a Belgian integrated feed and protein manufacturer. AgDevCo, a long-term debt provider to Goldenlay, is also exiting as part of the transaction.
4. Adenia buys majority stake in Minet from Capitalworks
Adenia Partners has bought a majority stake in Minet Group, one of Africa’s largest independent insurance brokerage and risk advisory firms. The stake was acquired from Capitalworks.
5. Carlyle and Old Mutual Private Equity exit Tiger Wheel & Tyre
Carlyle, advised by Alterra Capital Partners and in partnership with Old Mutual Private Equity, has announced an agreement to sell TiAuto Investments to Japan’s Marubeni Corporation. TiAuto is a retailer and wholesaler of tyres, wheels, batteries and automotive products, operating through its Tiger Wheel & Tyre and Tyres & More stores.
6. Investec Principal Investments sells stake in South Africa’s Sunpac
Investec Principal Investments, together with fellow shareholders, has completed the disposal of a combined majority stake in Sunpac to JSE-listed CA Sales Holdings. Sunpac is a South African distributor and turnkey route-to-market partner to a portfolio of international beauty, cosmetic, personal care and baby care brands.
7. Amethis buys majority stake in Côte d’Ivoire’s Ademat
Amethis has bought out SPE Capital's controlling stake in Ademat, a Côte d'Ivoire-based provider of power security solutions.
8. Investisseurs & Partenaires exits Ghana’s Eden Tree to Pangea Africa and Black Star Africa
Pangea Africa and Black Star Africa have announced the joint acquisition of a majority stake in Eden Tree, a producer and distributor of fresh, packaged fruits and vegetables in Ghana. The new investors bought out impact fund manager Investisseurs & Partenaires.
9. Eos Capital achieves 40% IRR from Namibian private equity exit
Eos Capital’s Allegrow Fund has exited its investment in The Mushara Collection, a group of private accommodation lodges near Etosha National Park in Namibia. The transaction is subject to various regulatory approvals.
10. AfricInvest begins phased exit from logistics group
AfricInvest has announced a phased exit process from its investment in SIPO Holding, the Mauritius-based holding company controlling Groupe Centaures, a Côte d’Ivoire-based logistics and transport group.
