Nigerian drone maker Terra Industries has raised $11.75 million, led by 8VC, the VC firm of Palantir co-founder Joe Lonsdale.

Nigerian drone maker Terra Industries has raised $11.75 million, led by 8VC, the VC firm of Palantir co-founder Joe Lonsdale. Other participants in the round include Valor Equity Partners, Lux Capital, SV Angel, Silent Ventures, Nova Global, Leblon Capital, and angel investors like Micky Malka.
Terra Industries builds autonomous defense systems to protect Africa’s critical resources such as mines, refineries, power plants.
“Over a year ago, Max and I started Terra to give Africa the technological edge needed to protect its critical resources. Today we’re building Africa’s first defense prime with millions of dollars in commercial and government contracts. Over the next few months, we will ramp up defense production across Africa and scale our surveillance software,” Nathan Nwachuku, CEO of Terra Industries, said in a statement.
