Third Way Investment Partners, via its Core Plus Fund II, has completed a R200 million ($11.8 million) co-investment alongside Vantage GreenX Note III in the Notsi PV Cluster – a 475 MW solar photovoltaic project in South Africa’s Free State province.
With a total funding requirement of R9.1 billion ($535.9 million), Notsi ranks among South Africa’s largest solar developments.
Anthem, a South African independent power producer, is the lead developer and majority equity holder.
“This investment in Notsi reinforces Third Way’s leadership in clean energy debt, de-risking scalable projects while advancing SDG 7 (Affordable & Clean Energy) and SDG 8 (Decent Work),” said Fulufhelo Makwetla, chief executive officer at Third Way.
