Renew Capital has invested in Dabchy to expand its circular fashion platform across North Africa and the Middle East.
Dabchy is a peer-to-peer fashion marketplace that enables users to buy and sell clothes within a community-like environment, combining e-commerce with sustainable fashion practices.
Operating in Tunisia and Egypt, Dabchy is making fashion accessible, affordable and sustainable. The platform encourages the resale of clothing, which reduces waste and promotes a shift toward more sustainable consumer habits.
“Dabchy was created to make fashion more accessible while encouraging sustainable practices,” said Ameni Mansouri, co-founder and CEO of Dabchy. “Our platform gives individuals the opportunity to extend the life of their clothes, save money and join a community that values fashion and sustainability.”
“Dabchy is driving a much-needed change in the fashion industry by promoting circular fashion and empowering individuals to monetise their wardrobes,” said Karim Ben Fadhel, investment ecosystem development manager at Renew Capital. “Their community-focused platform makes sustainable fashion more accessible and affordable while contributing to a more conscious and connected future.”
With Renew Capital’s investment, Dabchy plans to enhance its platform, grow its user base and expand into new markets.
