Verod hires new senior deal maker for Lagos office
Verod Capital Management Limited, a West African private equity firm, has announced the hiring of Wale Odusanya as a vice president in its Lagos office and a senior deal maker on its investment team.
Odusanya joins Verod from Stanbic IBTC Capital Limited, where he spent the last 13 years, most recently as the head of the financial advisory business. He was involved in originating and executing M&As, divestitures and corporate restructurings and has completed transactions across key sectors in Nigeria, including sectors that overlap with Verod’s investment strategy, such as, financial services, consumer products and services, and manufacturing. He brings strong relationships within the Nigerian corporate sector, as well as superior transaction experience and leadership skills from the preeminent investment banking firm in Nigeria.
He is a CFA charter holder and an associate member of Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers of Nigeria and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.
“Wale is a strong addition to our investment team”, said Danladi Verheijen, CEO of Verod. “We are confident that with his years of high-quality investment banking experience, Wale will dramatically enhance the firm’s ability to source and execute attractive deals, as well as support exits, as we deliver on our promises to all our stakeholders.”
