Bosso, an e-commerce platform for building materials in Zambia, has announced a pre-seed funding round of $400,000, with participation from Launch Africa Ventures, Change-Com, Renew Capital, Leonard, and others.
The company said in a statement, "This investment marks a significant milestone in our journey towards revolutionising the construction industry in Zambia and beyond. Since our founding in 2022, we've been committed to addressing the continent's housing deficit by providing a comprehensive online marketplace for construction materials. With over 1,000 hardware stores onboarded and having served over 400 homebuilders, we're proud of the impact we've made in Zambia this far.
“This funding will enable us to expand our operations within our home market, introduce new features powered by AI technology, and offer essential services around land conveyance, financing, and construction services. Our ultimate goal is to extend our reach across Southern Africa and beyond, ensuring that everyone has access to affordable housing solutions. We're excited about the journey ahead and remain dedicated to driving positive change in the construction sector."
