1. South Africa: Metier Capital Growth Fund II exits Master Plastics
The Metier Capital Growth Fund II has exited Master Plastics through a management-led buyout backed by a funding package from Nedbank CIB and Investec Investment Banking.

2. Fund manager Jaltech backs South African solar-as-a-service provider
Wetility, a South African solar-as-a-service provider, has secured R500 million (about $27.7 million) from Jaltech, an alternative investment fund manager focused on solar energy projects in South Africa.

Oasis Capital, an SME growth investor in West Africa, has announced the exit of its investment in Mansa Bank Côte d'Ivoire. This disposal marks the first full exit of Oasis in the Francophone Africa market and the second of the Oasis Africa Fund I portfolio.

Open Access Energy (OAE), a South African startup using AI to enable digital infrastructure for electricity trading, has closed a $1.8 million seed funding round with participation from E3 Capital, Equator VC, and Factor E Ventures. The round will accelerate product development and customer growth as the company scales to meet rising demand for flexible, decentralised energy infrastructure.
OAE’s flagship product, EnergyPro, is a cloud-based software platform that enables energy wheeling – the process of delivering electricity from decentralised renewable producers to distributed consumers via existing transmission infrastructure. OAE’s platform automates the backend processes including metering, risk management, and forecasting – ensuring that energy generation and consumption loads are efficiently matched in real time.
